I went to my first-visited antique mall (my friend has a booth there) on my vacation to Florida.
And I saw a vintage Gucci bag!
It wasn’t my perfect dream and it was more expensive than I’d want to pay for it. But I continued to look.
I bought this vintage navy monogram Gucci doctor satchel with a red stripe!
I couldn’t post about it until (well, first I had to photograph) I was struck with just the right name.
Well, I came to “G. Love.” (Yes, my bag has got sauce.)
I am passionately in love with this bag. This bag is my lover in an affair.
(I am in a polygamous relationship with Coach [and we are about to have a baby], the other bags are just my friends.)
What can I say, I’m a bag girl and I love the Gucci!

there is something about a vintage handbag-maybe it has something to do with the fact that a woman before you carried her most prersonal items and treasures in the bag-in the days of your beautiful VINTAGE GUCCI there were not fake designer bags in every mall in america in fact there were very few malls-i have a love affair with my beautiful vintage bags-they are on display in a lovely oak bookcase with glass doors when i am not taking them out and adding to their history-carol e

What a nice tribute. I like it. Vintage bags are special to me, because they are still in nice condition (well, if they are). They were taken care of. It also speaks of quality.
I am excited to save money for a certain vintage Chanel, but I have a budget and those Chanels are pricey!

Ayyy! This was THE very first designer bag I owned….Could that be mine, by chance? Ha ha! Actually, one of my relatives “stole” it from me. I have such fond memories of that bag.
