Ahh yes, I’m back from vacation and back to the daily grind of work—vacations are a wonderful thing, but the stack of work that piles up and is awaiting you when you get back is not.
While I was away, I did a lot of shopping—unfortunately, I couldn’t find any purses that called my name enough to buy them. Well, I guess I did, but the bags that called my name were way out of my price range. In fact, I found a beautiful black woven leather wallet that matched my Elliott Lucca Satchel, but by that time, I was starting to watch my money.
What I did stumble upon was a large menagerie of bags that no one should ever be allowed to carry again. There were purses with entirely too long of straps, purses made from denim with frayed edges, purses made from very, very cheap-looking imitation leather, etc.—you get the picture.
But, the winner of possibly one of the worst bags I’ve ever seen was a purse made from denim jeans. Someone had cut off the top portion of jeans, pockets and all, sewn the bottom shut, added a strap and tied a ribbon or fabric (I don’t remember which) through the belt loops—and this was being sold in a store! Yes, some of these purses were being sold in little touristy-type stores, but still, can’t they have some tasteful design sense?

I’ve seen those “jeans” bags before. They’ve been around a while. When I was away I saw a lot of those bustier bags.
And I think you should have gotten the wallet! How much? I’m sure it was on sale by now. Is it online?

Oh yeah, the bustier bags—those are great—just kidding!
The price of the wallet wasn’t that bad, even though it wasn’t on sale; I don’t remember the exact price, but I’m trying to watch my budget right now, so I didn’t get it. Hmmm, the more I think about it though, I should see if I could find it online. I haven’t seen it on their web site.

Ok, I just cringed at the denim bags…
