The beauty of the Fall 2006 Marc Jacobs show was in the bags. Bag Lady attire led eyes to only find hope in this preview of a luxe Autumn for handbags.
There is a different feel to this largely-satchel collection. More exotic leathers, like this snake bag, over quilts. Self-innovation comes in the form of gusset push locks, ample tortoise shell—including on chain straps and buckles, and this different way of using straps on all sides of a bag (man, do I love straps)—woven through a larger strap, no less. Eye indulgence!

It all inspires me to carry my more luxurious bags (like my python darling), if only I could go out today, on this busy work day of the last of Fashion Week NYC! (I wish I could be sampling bags with Coco, and hitting try-on rooms with some Antik Denim, but work, I will.)
Unfortunately, to match the size of the models under layers of coats (to warm up after losing homes due to buying Jacobs?) many bags shown were voluminous, as well. I don’t really see them making it to stores, though, and there seemed nothing with interesting detail. It’s a good thing, because consumers might have to live in those purses after splurging!

4 No’s for me on those bags. They strike me a stark, cold and boring. MJ bags always tend to be simple and classic designs, but these are just plain and ugly.

Hi could you tell me what the tale signs are of a fake blake handbag to a real one.
I hve just purchased one from designer imports and am really worried.

DesignersImports.com is a big faker site. The Marc Jacobs Venetia on the front of the page is a clear fake from the start of inspecting it!
Return that bag ASAP and I will research more throughout the week, for if you want to work hard on finding an authentic on eBay, but I’ve got to tell you, the Blakes I’ve seen on eBay don’t look good. You’ve got to have patience and put in work. And perhaps settle for a different style or color. I don’t know enough about the Blake, so perhaps start thinking about other styles you like. But wait a week until I write more to shop again!

I have been ringing designer imports and they never pick up

Why have you been calling, Dolly? A store should never have that, except for off-hours.

Hi I finally got through to them and they said that another company called desinger imports (without the ’s), is the fake company and all their bags are authentic, and the Marc Jacobs zipper is the ZiZi one.
On top of their web page is a toll free number you can call as well as the office number.
