Thus I begin a very important fashion lesson for you. Handbags are accessories. You may think you know this from browsing online stores and seeing the grouping of merchandise, but no, you may not. Your handbag must match your outfit - let me be more clear - it does not have to match in color, but it should suit the outfit in a complimentary way. Large signature pattern handbags do not go with patterned clothing. You’ll need a couple of standard, solid color handbags, as well. (Something with pink is a must for most girls, green is nice, and brown or khaki.) It’s a good idea to get a handbag that matches your winter coat, or a coat you wear a lot. You DO need more than one handbag. Some days your beautiful Signature handbag WILL have to stay at home, it needs a rest, anyway. Choose your most expensive, splurge, dream designer bag in a practical color.

Colors change with the seasons, this is why there are handbags for different seasons, BTW. Keep your high priced items to something that will be in style all year and last for many years.

DON’T See the bold print of the jacket paired with the large Signature print. Also see that light khaki and brown do not mix.	DO There is a very faint polka dot on this shirt, but it looks fine with the bag, especially when paired with a matching cardigan. Do choose your dream bag in a color that is your favorite or that matches a favorite outerwear item, like a cardigan you can throw on during most cooler summer days, or for indoor air conditioning. Notice that some colors that are very different from the bag, still look nice, especially paired with more similar colors.
Also notice the bulky blazer doesn’t seem to go with this sized bag, aside from an overcoat, one needs an even more petite handbag with a blazer. As for large totes, only choose profesional, as to bright or flowery summer or beach totes.	For summer clothing, any sized bag goes. Totes should stick to fun and summery styles, except for work or school, when something sleek and sophisticated is needed. For business totes, always choose something practical and standard, yet stylish and desirable.

Remember, everywhere a lady goes, she needs a handbag. And she needs the right one.
