Coach has a new line of Signature Stripe bags and accessories, but this time they’re styled differently, with horizontal striping. There are also a lot of dangling accessories that come at price with the totes and the totes are reversible!
On this inside (turned outside) of each of the totes is a larger Coach “storypatch” this time with cursive handwriting telling of the quality of each bag. The serial number is also there, larger, and on display for all to see. This is interesting and kind of nice—more detail, new & unique feature, and it tells of authenticity and quality right there … but only when you’re in the mood!
Hint: The “parchment” color stripe is actually a shimmering silver/white! (It’s the only one in the line with sparkles.) I’d buy that choice if you can keep it clean.
There’s also monogramming for each Signature Stripe items! You can add 1 to 3 letters of your choice (initials or even “CC”?).
The monogramming feature costs an additional $25 and is only available in the Signature Stripe collection.

My initals are CC- I guess I won’t be monogramming!

I’m not comfortable with the idea of the “quality credo” on the outside of the bags. It is even worse than the hang-tag!
One of my Coach bags has some stitching coming undone at the handle after a season or so of use. That quality stuff is a load of hooey.

C.C.! Lucky!!! I would monogram, but I’m just crazy.
Ginafly, I find that there is no perfectly made bag. But my first Coach(/first designer) was bought over a year ago and I’ve carried it for three seasons (two nearly exclusively). It’s of suede/leather/jacquard and the suede is dirty (I’m careful, but I could have done better), but still looks beautiful and rests deeply in my heart.
I think Coach bags are of great quality, and they’re my favorites. I think the woven jacquard is more quality than a plasticy “canvas,” for one thing. Otherwise, each designer has pluses and minuses. There could always be some bags that aren’t up to par. One of my Factory bags has issues, but it was an irregular.
(And the hang tag? You don’t like the hang tag?? ;-))

Are all the factory bags irregular,or just some of them? I often go up to the factory stores and am worried about whether I should buy or not.

They’re not all irregular. There’s always a symbol stamped on in the irregular items on the inside patch. And you could always ask.
