There’s a new Gaucho in town, and it’s more attractive to me. I still wouldn’t fawn over the design, no, only the IT. Sorry, I do that.
The body of the bags looks .. less ugly—being subtler yet letting that Dior-saddle shine. But the leather is actually beautiful; it has embroidered patches made to look like croc skin. Why not the real thing? Why not the real thing, yet it’s $3,590? Bah.
Still, it’s quite ugly when worn, with that loong shoulder strap on the huge bag. Ick.
How’d the original even get tagged IT? (Oh, silly editors!)

Finally there are leather bags for the perforated monogram Onatah collection! The bags have neutral-toned options for leather that is similar to embossed, but instead punched with tiny perforations to create the LV Monogram.
I love the Onatah Leather Pochette in aubergine. It looks like a hobo, and for a pochette, it’s large. Are you ready for a surprise? 14″ length x 8″ height x 1″ diameter. Oh yes! That and the luxe detail make it worth its $1,260 pricetag, n’est pas?
More details include an adjustable, but long, multi-ringed canvas strap with brass hardware, long leather zip-top closure pulls, and Monogram-patterned lining.

As much as I love handbags, I do have other interests (hard to believe!) and because I have an opportunity to pursue another much-loved interest of mine, this will officially be my last post for Pursed Lips. I’ll definitely miss it, but I’ll make sure to check in and see what Ella posts about! She always finds fantastic bags!
I thought it was only appropriate that I write about an Elliott Lucca bag for my last post since an Elliott Lucca bag was the focus of my first post. The Georgia Shopper is made from soft woven leather, and it really does look so soft in the photo! Available for $268, the Shopper measures 15″ l x 10″ h x 4.5″ d and comes in four different colors (black, camel, chocolate and stone). I like all the colors, but the camel’s calling my name—it’s a great neutral.
This bag also has so many leather details—braided handles, woven accents, scalloped trim—I would love to examine this bag up close!

So, tell me, am I the only one who really doesn’t like the shape of this bag?
Anthropologie carries some adorable and nice-looking bags, in fact I wrote about one yesterday, but this Red Romper Hobo just doesn’t cut it for me.
If I spend $598 on a bag, I sure do not want it to resemble a child-size romper. Plus it looks quite large, and at 17″ l x 16″ h x 10″ d, it is. According to Anthropologie’s web site, it can even double its length by unsnapping and unfolding.
Regardless of size, if a bag comes in this shape, I’ll pass on it.
