1. Have patience. If you want to save money and buy that bag, wait on it. Either wait for a sale (unless it’s a new IT bag) or consistently stalk eBay. If you wait long enough, you can even get a dream bag used.
2. Learn eBay. Learn every little thing about spotting fakes, learn about checking feedback/past auctions, learn that you need a sniping program, and get to know a forum with people who will help you authenticate. You can’t buy bags or save money being a “casual” eBay user.
3. Sell Old Bags. Not only will you have some more money to put toward your new dream bag, but every bag you buy has the potential to give some money back in the future. Wrap your mind around that.

I love knit bags, I really want to learn how to make one before next winter. And I’d totally adore - possibly even buy - this knitted hobo by Isabella Fiore, if only it came in an oatmeal or cream. I like my earthy sweater colours on my cozy bags. Heh. Still the coral is neat, and there’s also navy if that floats your boat. See that price is great - $259, but for me my knit bag has to be per.fect. I’m crazy (maybe not) and maybe this is for you! On sale at Saks.

Sure, it’s outrageous, sure it’s a bit controversial (lamb fur), and sure it’s not a style for everyone. And yes, yes, I have no desire to own this bag, BUT STILL! I think it’s amazing the Dior Flight Shoulder Bag went on sale! And eLUXURY have knocked off hundreds of dollars. Current price: $1074. Retailed for: $1790. The Flight line was so hyped, so catching something off the range would be neat, plus for a shearling bag it’s not so bad. (I personally don’t like furry bags, but that’s me.) I know it’s also a lot late in the season, but hey, bunnies are still skiing somewhere!
