This season of Isabella Fiore handbags is the best the designer’s had out of the past several. With styles to suit more varied tastes - western, ladylike, edgy, light & fun - I even found two bags I really want to get this Spring to represent my appreciation.
The “Terry” frame bag is black and white with extremely intricate elegant embroidery (I even see heart outlines in it, how cute) and mod shape hanging fobs. This large sized, detail-filled, purse is only $475 to bag.
That’s not looking too sweet with me buying two, but hopefully I can spread out my purchases. One for now … one mid-Spring? Alas, I’m trying to save my money at the moment, but I’m working on it!

I appreciate the effort and exciting anticipation behind old favorite Coach when they put out something different, but the mix of high saturated colours in their new Hamptons Weekend Patchwork makes me think it was made for clowns, not fashionistas—maybe not even the typical teenage girl!
Featuring far too much going on with all those dark, spotlight-steal-attempting, shades the new Hamptons Weekend Satchel shape is at least something nice. I love that Coach keeps introducing new satchels, my favorite style by far. Another new detail is the hang tags with circular “splotches” of a contrasting colour - although I’m not sure why that’s necessary.
It’s your typical new Spring’s approaching attempt at cheer from Coach, but more. They simply went too far.
The Hamptons Weekend Satchel is sized 13″ x 7″ x 7″ and won’t be setting me back $288.

Mary-Kate Olsen recently wrote in to the New York Times raving about her favorite purse.
“Timeless
Brand Loyalty
by Mary-Kate Olsen
I have a large, red quilted Chanel bag that I borrowed from my sister, Ashley. I wore it to an event and never gave it back. Luckily, she’s moved on to another bag, so I’m safe for now. I’m not quite sure how many bags I have, but let’s just say I have a few. When I find a bag I like, I tend to wear it to death until I become obsessed with another one. This probably happens three to five times a year. But I always come back to the Chanel. The size isn’t overwhelming, and it has enough subtle detail to keep it interesting. I also have the smaller version in blue and in white, but the red is definitely my favorite. I don’t have a stylist - I’d rather just do my own thing and put together my own outfits. The chain-handle bag is the perfect accent to almost any combination I come up with. I look at everything with a designer’s eye, but I wouldn’t change a thing about this bag. I think that’s why it’s a true classic.”
Ooh, I just love the size of the bag, but unfortunately it appears to me the straps grew in length with the size. I’m just not sure what to be dreaming for in a Chanel.

There is a new “independent designer” out there, but really, the company’s neither. Kgadi (pronounced “hattie”) makes simple drawstring bags with NBA (that’s basketball, ladies) logos on them. Uh wha? Handbags are for women, stylish women—most of them. This is for men (but not) or seriously tom-women or well, women who don’t care.
I guess this is one way for fangirls to “sport” logos, if not into designer? Nah, not really though, because the people who might be attracted to such things will not pay (and shouldn’t) the pricepoint of $110.
Nope, not hearing a swoosh

I was on the hunt for a camera case for … oh probably years. Especially with my camera turning on and wasting battery if I take it anywhere with the batt left in. Ugh. Just recently, I also decided I needed a new digital camera, a small one with a “macro” setting. Now not only does my new camera do away with my cam problems, is on beat with modern technology & fun other settings in addition to macro, and it comes in pink(!) but it doesn’t even turn on randomly due to its optical lens features.
Still, when I found the cam, things just *clicked* into place and I found the perfect little case! It’s pink as well, is small enough to secure the camera, but with extra room to fit small accessories, in genuine leather and its darn cute to bag! Clearly meant for a camera, with padded sides to protect your gadget and a multi-colored dangling fob including a camera charm, it could even be a small clutch with its fashionable look and wristlet strap. The buckle + charms combo remind me of COACH meets Luella. Love it!
The price is darn right a dream, too: $24.99 and your order might come with free standard shipping. Oh yeah, here are the cameras, as well. Aren’t we just the picture of stylish perfection?

Fendi Spring 2007 - Clutch or Case?

Balenciaga isn’t sold online in stores as it is in department stores and city boutiques. But I found that a certain online retailer has authentic bags that are harder to get elsewhere - all authentic - Diabro.net (I bought a Silverado from them so far).
I may just make two more purchases this Spring and one would be a dream Balenciaga; the quilted Matelasse bag, which has elegant styling to appeal to a different kind of fashionista than the motorcycle may - like moi! It still has some signature touches (like studs and tassels), and add that plush pillow quliting, and there’s no wonder it’s IT. It’s “big”, but not too big - and roomy at 12″ x 8″ 5.5″.
The Diabro price is usually just around retail, and this goatskin satchel’s pricetag is $1,659. We’ve got to save up quick, huh?

Gucci art, is this bag, this “Indy” bag with ethnically-flared floral embroidery on white canvas. It’s a hobo shape with a single, rigid hand strap (plus detachable shoulder strap) sized quite large indeed, at 19″ l x 13″ h.
Also adorned in large leather tassels and trimmed in a gorgeous burgundy, this amazing bag costs $3,695. Pre-orders are being taken now for shipment by April 15th.
Even though this is a brand I often find overpriced for its quality and usually find over-rated, I bow down to this beautiful piece. Their Spring collection is striking and different. I just want more!

That. My dear friends is the new Limited Edition Louis Vuitton tote. Made up of actual pieces of bags from current styles and maybe a few classic IT LVs, this Tribute Patchwork shoulder bag is available this month. Another picture to follow.

Its two sides feature different iconic pieces from yesterday and today, complete with straps, buckles, flaps, locks, hooks and plaques - even fur. Each bag its made up of is practically complete. (Oh, this is nearly enough to make me vomit as well.)
Loved by crazed fans, hated by most, the worst part - possibly - is its price: $42,000.
I’d rather have just three or so of the styles, plus other Vuittons for just a few thousand, and save the rest. Well, save most of the rest … some will be for Chloé, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Balenciaga … ooh, and to pay off my AMEX.
