Fendi Spring 2007 - Clutch or Case?

November 30, 2006 by Designer Ella

Fendi Spring 2007 clutch case

Here is a peak at one item from Fendi’s Spring 2007 bag collection. I hope this is some sort of case, but it could be a little clutch bag. It’s certainly different with that large zipper pull. I just really think this would make a cute beauty or camera case over a bag, though.

See more of the collection at Style.com.

Kate Moss with Chanel’s Garbage Bag

November 29, 2006 by Designer Ella

    *Via* Style Bytes:

Kate Moss has been seen out and about with that famous Chanel garbage bag I posted in September.

    Kate Moss Chanel

This hanging sack does not look chic on her.

Hmm, I wonder if someone could be rich enough to use this as a reusable trash bag holder? That might be chic, insane, but stylish.

Neiman Marcus Sale! + Marc Jacobs Stam Hobo

November 28, 2006 by Designer Ella

Marc Jacobs Stam HoboNeiman Marcus is having a huge designer sale, including bags from designers like Chloé (with lo-ots of Ediths, but no Paddingtons) and Marc Jacobs.

My sale pick of the whole store is Jacobs’ Stam Hobo, on sale for …

    *drumroll*

    … $840, from $1,200!

It’s only still available in chestnut, so hurry! If I weren’t saving for a Paddington, ah well, I’d be saving for the Little Stam anyway, so oh well. Good luck picking out something special!

Recent News Tells Us: In Purse Theft, just Let it Go

November 28, 2006 by Designer Ella

Okay, okay. I’ll have to stop the idealist fantasy about keeping my purse if I am ever in a snatch attempt, and I really have to stop encouraging it to my readers. All because of reading two recent news stories, I see how very dangerous it is. (And we can get newer, possibly better bags, anyway.)

What a world we live in. Oh fine, bah, I’ll have to give in and vow to try to stay safe.

But still it’s not easy to replace a Chloé or Fendi! We must let it go, but it’s heartbreaking to let IT go. ;-)

Holiday Gift Idea: Dooney & Bourke Accessories

November 28, 2006 by Designer Ella

Following our Holiday Gift Week series, I still have at least one gift to write about.

Dooney & Bourke Doodle Flap Wristlet Honey leatherOne source of an assortment of fashionable gifts for women is Dooney & Bourke, and their various accessories. Dooney & Bourke wristlets are cute for girls, especially the more colorful ones. For adults, they have nice - more sophisticated - accessories and bags, too. Like Coach, Dooney is a more affordable luxury brand.

Their Flap Wristlets, like this Doodle Wristlet shown, cost $45. That’s a great price considering some other pricetags these days. And teenagers often only need a wristlet as an entire bag, so depending on what you pick for whom, a D&B gift is a great one.

Handbag Addicts - Step 1: Shop!

November 27, 2006 by Designer Ella

I discovered a cute little online shop for handmade handbags and more, called Handbag Addict.

    Handbag Shop

The best thing about this site is that they have a little theme of being for bagaholics. Their “12 Step Program” reads as follows…

STEP 1: Admit to yourself that you are a handbag addict. Repeat after me…hello, my name is ____ and I am a handbag addict.
STEP 2: Acknowledge and appreciate that you are a handbag addict.
STEP 3: Admit that you are powerless to this addiction, but don’t really care.

    Etc.

I always get the strong feeling that bag ladies are everywhere and are a passionate bunch, but I love new signs of throngs popping up!

Check out this shop for unique bags, cosmetic cases, and more.

Bag for Bargain: Elliott Lucca Luxe Satchel

November 22, 2006 by Designer Ella

Elliott Lucca Luxe SatchelHow can you get a genuine leather piece of non-copy Stam inspiration … and still for a good price? Elliott Lucca has designed a Luxe Satchel made of either red or patent leather. The details are nice, and the price: $228. This is no bargain replica or sweatshop garbage bag. And it stands on its own, with details such as a ruched and gathered front center and simple but nice double strap attachments. It’s a very roomy, classic bag for the sophisticated, chic, yet non-name lover. Plus it’s the largest party bag most of us can afford — and get away with!

Holiday Gift Week: ver. LV iPod Shuffle Case

November 22, 2006 by Designer Ella

This is post #3 of our Holiday Gifts series, part 2 was on a Banana Republic Jewelry Roll.

Louis Vuitton Multicolore iPod Shuffle Case
Adorable, fun, and to me - so appropriate is the Louis Vuitton Multicolore iPod Suffle Cover with all the basic features a young LV/music fan needs - at only $140. Of course, this holds last year’s generation of Shuffle, not the new ultra, ultra mini one.

But if she’s got that shuffle, you may find other cases to be not much cheaper - so why not?! I’d love it … if only I liked the limited capabilities of this precise mp3 model. Humph.

    Banana Republic Velvet/Bow Jewelry Roll

November 21, 2006 by Designer Ella

This post is part of our week-long Holiday Gifts series. Read post 1: Coach Demis on eBay.

Banana Republic Jewelry RollWho ever heard of a jewelry roll? Well luxe brand, Banana Republic, has made just that—this “Jewelry Roll” is for storing jewelry. The clutch-like piece of fabric unwraps to reveal three wide pockets lined in silk for storage. With its red velvet exterior and beautiful satin bow, I say this item could even be used as a handbag for holiday events!

    Measuring 7 ½” x 4″ and at only $38, that’s not a bad choice.
