Last week was just one of those weeks for me, you know the kind when it seems like nothing you do works out; naturally, anytime I have that kind of week, I feel like shopping, only right now, I’m trying to cut back a bit, which is not fun. Of course, that didn’t stop me from buying a new pair of shoes at J. Crew, but in my defense, they were on sale!
So, what to do when you need to satisfy a shopping desire, but you can’t go out and spend a large chunk of cash? One option is to search the Internet where you’ll find lots of affordable and nicely designed pieces. While I was surfing the web, I happened to find this cute Polka Dot Cosmetic Case (12″ l x 9″ h x 3.5″ d) for only $28! It’s available in brown/teal or black/white and has lots of room—just listen to all the storage it has: 2 clear zip pockets, 3 patch pockets, a removable zip pouch with zip pocket, 7 brush pockets and a detached small zip pouch!
I adore polka dots, so finding this case made me smile, plus it would be perfect for packing in my luggage for a summer vacation!

Shh! Don’t tell, but I have a love affair. So does Maria Palma of The Runway Scoop, I gladly found out. It’s with bags.
Maria is my fellow desperate bag desirer, and with her post, “My Love Affair,” I love her more.
She’s the true purse addict, like moi:
However, I will be honest and say that I am not faithful to one particular handbag. And they know this. Many a handbag has lined up on the shelves of my closet waiting for attention and some love.
She is even the knowledgeable bag snob (on replicas):
I know when a handbag is not being honest with me. … No sweet talk and fancy charms will lure me!
Make sure to check out all of Maria’s wonderful bag-related articles in her archives, too.
Oh, we may have a problem, we may be weak, but may we never seek a cure!

Chloé Edith’s for Fall are starting to come into stores, this grey version is currently in stock at Luisa Via Roma .com. I wasn’t into them until looking at the beautiful colors and variations being offered in the coming months. This bag pictured has contrasting lovely navy trim, it appears, and is available to ship now.
Another version of the Chloé Edith, which comes in my recommended shades of “gris vert” (literally a grey green) and “whiskey,” plus more, will be available in July! with more to follow later.
Both styles / all colors are 885 pounds or roughly $1,630.97.

I’ve declared Mondays to be IT Bag Mondays, because we need some spiced-tan on our palette, so to say. We’ll do our best to go cra-azy with the desire each week.
I just discovered the Fendi B. that is my favorite: the Leather Shoulder B. Bag. I would buy this in a minute if I were rich (along with a Chef, I think those are cute). It boasts two B. buckles on a horizontal strap covering a push-through flap, a 7 ¾” drop strap with chain accent, and has so-soft looking slouchy, gathered pebbled leather toward the bottom. This variation is 12 ½” wide and comes in an orange “bone” or black at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,210.
Sign me up for the 5-to-10-year-long waiting list (if that existed, ’cause maybe I can afford it at that time)!

Via Yahoo! : Fendi S.R.L. sued Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in US Federal Court on Friday for selling counterfeit bags and accessories, at their Sam’s Club stores, with the Fendi logo and passing them off as authentic, while reportedly earning millions off the highly “discounted” merchandise.
“Wal-Mart said late on Friday that it had not seen the complaint and therefore could not comment.” (Weren’t the Wal-Mart folks there for the suit, though?)
Metro 7 by Wal-Mart “Embossed Satchel” bag
“In one example cited in the lawsuit, a black handbag bearing Fendi’s trademark logo was offered for sale in a Sam’s Club store in Miami for $508.25, 45 percent less than the retail price of $930 for a genuine Fendi bag.
“Sam’s Club stores, which sell everything from bulk groceries to office supplies, recently said it would ratchet up competition with rival Costco Wholesale Corp. by selling more luxury goods like fine wines and diamonds.”
Fendi has asked for monetary compensation and requests the knockoffs be destroyed. Good for them.
Meanwhile, Wal-Mart is selling replica Fendi Spy bags, Chloé Paddingtons and more designer “inspired” bags for under $20. (I refuse to link.)

Fendi Spring 2007 - Clutch or Case?
June 9, 2006 by Designer Ella
As a special treat this week, I thought I’d feature great purse-posts (or pursts) from around the bagosphere. I’m a little bit wiped from purses, but there were great bags and/or commentary abounding this week. I can find inspiration from an opinion or another blogger’s (bagger’s) find, even if I’m having trouble starting from scratch.
Starting with an Important IT bag from Fendi that I missed in my recent scouting, due to different stock at different e-stores: The Fendi Large Leather Selleria Tote, via Luxist, sold at Saks Fifth Avenue. I posted the line’s hobo on High Fashion High, last week, but this bag is better! I love the shape, stitching and horizontal strap. And sure, the horse is an interesting feature, but I don’t understand its buckle design embossed onto the leather. That doesn’t seem too luxe, just odd.
– Purseuing’s DKNY Reversible Bag in red paisley is lovely for summer, but I wish the block pattern on the opposite side were a contrast color, like navy. I’d buy it for sure, then.
– I disagree about Coach’s Signature in general (I think it has an artistic and well-designed aesthetic of the butterfly pattern) but EBelle5 points out more to dislike about their patchwork signature. Still, as a commenter stated, the “counterfeiters dream” aspect is more about higher difficulty in recognizing a fake, and less about amateur sewers replicating it.
– Finally, get a different perspective from Mallory’s on Luella’s Charm Satchel on The Bag Snob, with “Not Charmed by Luella” (best title this series). Although, The Bag Snob is quite mouthy about her distaste, indeed. Gosh, she is a Bag Snob! Whoa.
