Lauren Merkin Spring Sample Sale
April 15, 2005 by Designer Ella
As I just said, I was looking for a designer wristlet. What I like is Signature, but I also like cute things that show off my adorable side. Coach has a cute little coin purse that I like in pink, it also has ones with red hearts or butterflies. But…
I usually thought I was too grown up for the Dooney & Bourke Hearts collection, but in a skinny coin purse? Even in pink! Somehow I just love the youthful hearts and raspberry color, on this small scale. It’s just right! I can deal with the $30, too.
I love how, in one of the hearts, it says Dooney & Bourke. Check it out in this picture.
It’s also just the right size to use as my wallet when I’m toting my mini Herringbone/Pink/Rhinestone “fancy night out” purse.
It’s just the thing to brighten up a gloomy day. Or in my case, feed that designer hunger.
I’m going out to the mall tomorrow to pick it up - in order to avoid a shipping charge. I’m also going to check out that Coach cosmetic case, but I’ve changed my mind about what is the perfect Coach bag for me. It will take a while to hunt it down, though! But it will be worth the wait, at whatever price. (If you happen to find it, Signature Small Pocket Satchel in Green/Khaki, I’ve only found a largee satchel in pink. I’m too petite for it!)

So my psycosisly challenged self was thinking the other day,
Is it wrong to desire a laptop bag, without exactly owning my own laptop? Knowing full well it will probably make me want to then buy a laptop? I don’t know what’s more expensive! the bag thing or how much the laptop would be! Hmm.. the bag thing.
The good news is that I can settle on hunting down a stylish and sophisticated - and longlasting - school tote, instead. And I have until next August!
But the hunt is not going well. I want places for my phone, my thingies, my pens. I’d like protective feet on the bottom. And I NEED it to be sized 14″ x 11″ in order to fit my notebook.
Even though my current bag is corduroy, inexpensive, not-so-stylish, and NOT designer or leather, or any such thing - and also has a couple of stains on the interior - it does its job. It has so many nice pockets. It is the perfect size.
So I may settle on keeping it. Besides, I’ve decided on buying a nice little wristlet to keep my money in. See, I can’t bring my wallet to school, ’cause I’ll forget to put it in my purse, but I need a little bit of money for drinks, lunches and snacks. So with this plan, a little bit of me can show off designer, can show off style, can show off something cute. And I’ve decided on just the thing.

Polka Dot Cosmetic Bags
April 14, 2005 by Designer Ella

A surprisingly cute bag by Jennifer Lopez! The “Twister Canvas” Satchel. It’s really more of a tote, and named after the fun teen game, because of its polka dots!
This bag would be really cute for Spring with fun colors and (faux) bamboo handles. It suits sophisticated, whimsical, and adorable alike. Tailored by faux suede, it may not suit the designer designated, but it’s a super cute and great deal for under $60.
The bag has Inside zip divider pocket, side zip pocket, cell phone pocket and pen holders.

It would even make a nice school bag, but it’s not tall enough for my notebook needs, at 14-1/2″ W x 8″ H x 5″ D.
Included with the bag purchase are the detachable cosmetic bag and logo keychain. Super great deal!
When I hear about cell phone pockets, pen loops, AND matching accessories, I nearly hyperventillate!
All marked down to only $43.99!

This Chanel actually LOOKS like a “Garbage Bag”
April 13, 2005 by Designer Ella
This is nice.

On the other.
It looks like a bearded Dr. Seuss character. “Fah who for-aze!”
I thought that the white showed the details better, but let’s see it a bit more subtle.

It’s a relatively nice bag. It gives me the impression that it will long to dance with you on a night out (dancing, but not at a nasty club), right along with your flouncy skirt and black pumps. It can’t dance, but it will swing along with you as you stride in. Mm. Get yourself a cosmopolitan while you’re at it.

“Almost Sold Out!” Overstock has been hounding me. It’s a nice handbag, so I’ll post it.

- Marked down $94.99
- 100% Leather
- 13 in. x 8.5 in. x 3.75 in.
- Main pocket divided into three compartments (center compartment is zip secured)
- Interior accessories pocket
- Interior cell phone and PDA pocket
- Protective storage bag included
- User Rating: 4 stars
A bag with sufficient pockets wins me over, in fact, it turns me on. (I hear “pen loop” and I drool.) Um, what?

Handbag Addicts - Step 1: Shop!
April 11, 2005 by Designer Ella
Since I’d like this blog to go to work for me, while I work hard on it, I’m waiting for some affiliate applications to process before I publish some more designer entries. DIFFERENT designers! lol. So, for now, I went on a bargain hunt.
It is HARD to find cute and stylish handbags on some low-price stores, especially when it comes to totes. But THIS bag. The Vanessa Bag caught my eye a while ago. I’m not much for large totes (except I’m hunting down one for school), but the mixture of trendy elements tickles me.
The grommeted allover criss-cross “straps” are unique, and the best part of the bag. Also, according to the description, the hearts are glittery.
The size is perfect for school and the price - $25 - is well under my budget, but it doesn’t hold the sophistication I desire for school (it’s professional, like work!) It’s definitely a teen to 21 bag, or for the whimsically young at heart, nothin’ wrong with that!
- 16″W x 11″H x 5″D
- Cotton with PU Handle
Obviously, the cuteness and bold style earned the spot on the blog.
